Interested in professional housekeeping but don’t have experience? We are preparing our team ahead of limited services from December and our full launch in January 2027. Cheshire Housekeeping Services wants to give people with the right attitude the opportunity to learn practical skills and build real workplace experience.
Experience is helpful. Attitude is essential. Skills can be taught.
We’re interested in helping people who are new to professional housekeeping learn how the job is done properly. Our aim is to provide practical on-the-job training, support and experience so trainees can develop confidence and professional standards while working alongside experienced people.
You might be returning to work, changing career, looking for your first job or simply interested in learning a practical profession. What matters to us is reliability, respect, willingness to learn and pride in doing a job well.
Housekeeping is a hands-on profession. We want trainees to understand not only what to do, but how to work efficiently, safely and professionally in real environments.
Understand professional techniques, standards, products, equipment and the details that make a real difference.
Develop skills through supervised, practical on-the-job experience and constructive feedback.
Learn how to organise work, communicate professionally and take responsibility for maintaining standards.
Strong trainees may be able to progress towards future housekeeping opportunities with Cheshire Housekeeping Services, subject to recruitment requirements and available roles.
We want Cheshire Housekeeping Services to be somewhere people can develop, not simply somewhere they pick up cleaning hours.
Progression would depend on performance, experience, available positions and the requirements of each role.
“Good housekeepers aren’t born knowing everything. They learn, practise and develop an eye for the details.”
Cheshire Housekeeping ServicesAs Cheshire Housekeeping Services grows, we would like to explore whether a formal apprenticeship pathway could become part of our training programme.
Until a formal apprenticeship programme is established with the appropriate arrangements in place, opportunities advertised through this page will be described accurately as trainee roles, work-based learning or on-the-job training rather than as apprenticeships.
The purpose of training is to turn the right attitude into consistent professional housekeeping skills.
Practical housekeeping technique, safe and respectful working, customer care, presentation, following an agreed service and understanding the standards expected by CHS.
No. We are not presenting the programme as a formal apprenticeship. It is company induction and on-the-job skills development for CHS housekeepers.
Practical assessment and training are used before somebody is approved for customer work. Induction and supervision arrangements are explained during recruitment and training.
A dependable attitude, attention to detail, respect, communication and willingness to learn are central to the type of team CHS wants to build.
Tell us a little about yourself, why you’re interested in housekeeping and what you’d like to learn. No previous professional housekeeping experience is required to express an interest.
