Practical help at home. Friendly company.
Everyday household support, suitable errands and companionship — without regulated personal care, nursing or clinical services.
Practical support for everyday life at home.
For people who would appreciate a helping hand with household tasks, suitable errands or some friendly company.
Who might use it?
An older person wanting a little help at home, someone living alone who values regular company, a person needing practical help after returning home, or a family arranging non-care support for a relative.
Sometimes the company matters just as much as the task.
A visit can combine practical household help with conversation and friendly company, depending on what has been agreed.
Some customers may mainly want help with everyday household jobs. Others may value a regular friendly visit, accompanied shopping or another suitable everyday outing.
Arranging help for someone else?
Enquiries can be made for yourself, a relative or someone else where you are helping to arrange suitable practical support.
Home help, not personal care.
This is a practical household and social-support service. Cheshire Housekeeping Services does not provide regulated personal care, nursing or clinical services.
The practical things you may want to know first.
The service is intended to be straightforward, respectful and clearly defined around the support actually needed.
Can Home Help include ordinary housekeeping?
Yes. Light housekeeping, laundry, ironing, bed linen and other agreed household tasks can form part of the visit.
Can you do shopping or collect prescriptions?
Suitable grocery shopping and collection of sealed prescriptions can be agreed as practical support tasks. CHS does not administer or manage medication.
Is companionship available without much housekeeping?
Yes, where appropriate. A visit can focus more on conversation, friendly company or a suitable accompanied everyday outing, provided the agreed service remains within CHS's non-regulated scope.
Can a relative arrange the service?
Yes. An enquiry can be made for yourself, a relative or someone else. We will still need clear agreement about the service, access and the person receiving the support.
Do you provide personal care?
No. CHS does not provide bathing, dressing, toileting, intimate hygiene, lifting or transfers, medication administration, nursing or clinical care.
